Dari dulu saya suka tampilan mobil Eropa, terutama yang merknya 3 huruf itu. Kesannya slick aja. Keren. Jenis yang saya suka pun bukan hanya yang baru tapi juga yang lama-lama. Saya tidak terlalu peduli (dan mengerti, garis miring, pertebal, kasih garis bawah) tentang teknologinya, tentang seri mana lebih canggih, tentang bodi mobil yang lebih aerodinamis, dan sebagainya. Saya mah cetek aja. Suka mobil Eropa karena tampilannya.

Pertama kali Papap beli mobil (bekas) juga mobil Eropa. Ini lebih ke menyenangkan hati istri yang habis melahirkan sebenarnya. Padahal sebelumnya Papap selalu bilang ke saya kalau mobil-mobil Eropa itu onderdilnya mahal, perawatannya mahal, harganya mahal… Ya makanya tampilannya berkesan mahal 😆 . Papap selalu bilang, “nanti cuma mampu beli mobilnya tapi gak mampu ngerawatnya.”

Dan seperti itu lah hubungan saya dengan apel-apel gadget milik saya 😀 .

Saya punya iPhone 5 hadiah dari Papap karena telah menjadi istri sholehah. Pesan si Papap hanya satu. “Dirawat ya,” katanya. Sejak itu pula iPhone itu pernah jatuh dari kantong celana pendek saya yang *ternyata* bolong. Pernah juga jatuh dari meja karena saya menaruh ponsel itu di bawah buku dan saya main tarik bukunya. Pernah juga jatuh ke lantai setelah dipegang Aiko karena kata dia, “henpon Mamam belat.” Pernah juga jatuh aja tanpa ada alasan apa-apa sih. Sejauh ini, iPhone 5 saya masih baik-baik saja, masih keren tampilannya, masih ok kerjanya. Dan sejauh ini saya masih aman dari omelan Papap karena dia tidak pernah tahu kalau ponselnya sudah jatuh beberapa kali 😆 .

Path IphoneSampai kira-kira dua minggu lalu, tepat di minggu terakhir sebelum libur Natal, tepat sebelum saya mulai cuti panjang, saya sedang terkapar di sofa di depan tivi. Minggu itu minggu terakhir saya ngantor sebelum libur dan hell, it’s been a loooooooooooong day each day 🙁 . Aiko sedang nonton Dora the Explorer sambil lompat-lompat di sofa. Hikari sedang menggambar sambil nyanyi-nyanyi gak jelas mengikuti lagi dari earphonenya. Saya sudah tidak punya tenaga untuk membawa kedamaian dan peradaban dunia ke ruang keluarga kami. Entah bagaimana mata saya melirik ke pose Aiko yang agak janggal. Dia sedang berdiri di lengan sofa yang menempel ke dinding. Kaki kirinya agak naik sedikit. Tadinya saya tidak terlalu perhatian dengan pose kakinya kecuali pada keselamatan diri anak 4 tahun yang menjulang tinggi di atas saya. Lama-lama mata saya memincing curiga pada pose kakinya. Anak ini kakinya sakit?

“Aiko, kaki kamu kenapa? Sakit?”
“Enggak.”
Saya perhatikan lagi. Telapak kaki kirinya tidak menapak ke lengan sofa.
“Ada apa itu di kakimu?”
“Dora, Dora, Dora, the exploreeeeeer!”
“Aikoooo, apa itu yang kamu injak?”
“Handphone Mamam.”
Adegan selanjutnya disensor.

Papap tidak ada di tempat kejadian saat itu dan saya tidak bilang apa-apa ke dia demi kesehatan mentalnya. Saya periksa dengan seksama ponsel itu dan tidak ada yang aneh. Everything worked just fine. Hanya kemudian bila layar ponsel tertekan, ada semburat pink pucat di sana.

Sampai beberapa malam kemudian saya mendapati layar iPhone saya kembali bersemburat pink. Cakep sebenarnya kalau itu memang salah satu aplikasi si apel. Sayangnya bukan. Saya pun iseng menunjukkan ke Papap.
“Kok bisa gini? Jatuh?”
“Diinjek Aiko.”
“HAH?! Kapan?”
“Beberapa hari lalu….” Mulai nyesel.
Si Papap meneliti bodi si iPhone dengan seksama.
“Ooooh ini nih. Nih kamu lihat. Ada celah sedikit antara layar dengan bodinya. Ketutupan casing.”
Saya bersuara ‘ooo’ pura-pura ngerti.
“Ah ini sih gampang. Bisa kok dibenerin.”
“Oh gitu?”
“Iya. Sebentar aku cek.”
“He? Gak dibawa ke service center aja?” Sekarang saya beneran nyesel.
“Gak usah. Ini sebentaran.”
Dan seperti menemukan mainan baru, Papap dengan semangat mengambil peralatan bengkelnya di malam yang hampir berganti tanggal.
“Kamu yakin, Pap?”
“Iya yakin. Tenang aja.”

Sepuluh menit kemudian di tengah-tengah kantuk saya…
“Mam.”
“Hm?”
“Besok bawa ke service center aja deh.”
Saya langsung melek.
“KENAPA?”
“Ini layarnya malah mati total….”
“HAH?”
“Adek siiih! Lain kali jangan injak-injak barang lagi ya!” Aiko mengkeret.
“LOH? Kan kamu yang bikin mati….”

Seminggu lebih saya puasa apel sekaligus dimanyunin Papap. Sepertinya saya memang disuruh libur oleh semesta alam karena email tidak bisa saya terima tanpa membuka laptop lebih dulu. Pesan-pesan WA urusan kantor juga tidak bisa masuk yang awalnya bikin saya senewen karena kuatir ‘bagaimana kalau Presiden RI mengirim WA buat saya saat WA saya gak aktif, hah?!’ Motret? Hobi motret kembang-kembang dan pohon-pohon hasil berkebun saya menjadi terbatasi. Saya terpaksa balik ke Blackberry dan kemudian mendapati jempol saya jadi lebih berotot dibanding jari lainnya. Belum lagi saat-saat saya frustasi menyentuh-nyentuh layar Blackberry saya tanpa hasil dan baru sadar kemudian kalau BB saya itu bukan touch screen… :mrgreen: .

Seminggu lebih kemudian hasil diagnosa service center saya datang. iPhone 5 saya bisa direparasi dengan biaya…. setengah harga iPhone sejenis yang baru. Langsung jatuh melarat 😳 .
“Pap, kamu yang bayarin ya. Aku kan cuma mampu pakai tapi gak mampu bayar perawatannya.”
Si Papap sudah menganga mau komentar.
“Lagian kan kamu yang rusakin….”
