mudik/mu·dik/ v 1 (berlayar, pergi) ke udik (hulu sungai, pedalaman)
Seumur-umur yang saya ingat, saya belum pernah mudik Lebaran. Tenang. Walaupun saya tidak pernah mudik Lebaran, masa kecil saya masih baik-baik saja kok 😀 .
Dulunya saya pikir orang tua saya tidak pernah mengajak saya dan dua adik saya mudik karena di kampung sudah tidak ada lagi kakek nenek yang harus disungkemi *dilempar kamus KBBI*. Kakek Nenek saya dari Si Kumendan sudah meninggal sejak Kumendan masih kecil banget. Ditambah lagi dengan Eyang dari si Mami sudah ratusan tahun lama boyongan ke Jakarta. Bahkan si Mami aja lahir di Jakarta. Rejeki saya, kemudian saya menikah dengan orang asli Jakarta. Nah, kampung mana lagi yang harus saya mudiki?! *dilempar dua kamus KBBI*
Sebagai orang yang lahir besar di Jakarta, keluarga inti ada di Jakarta, menikah dengan orang Betawi, tiap musim mudik tiba, saya setia saja jadi penonton liputan lebaran di TV sambil mencari jawaban perenungan saya tiap tahun. Sebenarnya saya punya kampung enggak sih?
Kalau mengikuti isian kolom suku bangsa di formulir, saya harusnya pulang kampung ke daerah Banten, bukan ke Klaten sana atau malah ke Kampung Matraman 😀 . Kalau orang tua saya mengikuti ritual mudik Lebaran, kami sekeluarga harusnya tiap tahun main pasir dan mandi matahari di sepanjang Pantai Carita sampai ke Labuan. But noooo….Setelah saya gede, saya menemukan alasan sebenarnya saya dan kedua adik saya tidak pernah mudik Lebaran. Alasannya agak-agak cemen sih untuk orang yang rajin mudik: si Kumendan dan si Mami enggak tahan macet-macetan di jalan 😆 . Bisa pingsan mereka kalau ikutan lautan manusia berebut bis/kereta/kapal laut/jalan tol.
Dari si Kumendan pula saya paham yang namanya sungkeman dan maap-maapan tidak harus pas hari Lebaran dan tidak harus hadir secara fisik. Mungkin mindset ini efek dari dirinya tahunan tinggal di Rusia jaman USSR. Repot pan di tahun 60an kudu tiap tahun pulang kampung naik baling-baling bambu yekan? Jadi, kalau si Kumendan atau si Mami pengin pulang kampung, mereka akan melakukannya beberapa hari atau malah minggu setelah Lebaran. Nunggu sepi dan hidangan udah berubah dari rendang menjadi ikan bakar 🙂 . Yang lucu malah si Papap yang tiap tahun selalu ngajak ke Carita. Saking dia bosen kali ya jadi orang Betawi tiap Lebaran mudiknya ke depan kantornya doang hahaha…
Di Lebaran tahun ini si Papap pun mengajak pulang kampung ke tanah kelahiran si Kumendan. Tumben banget semua mau dan bisa ikut. Biasanya kalaupun ada yang pulang kampung orangnya enggak pernah lengkap. Yang enggak lengkap ya siapa lagi kalau bukan…saya… 😛 . Kali ini, bahkan dua adik saya mau ikut. Jadi lah cuuussss dua mobil kami melesat di hari ketiga eh keempat *ngitung jari* Lebaran. Untuk Aiko, ini adalah pertama kalinya dia ke kampung halaman Yangkung-nya. Hebohnya anak itu enggak ada yang ngalahin. Tapi saya pikir-pikir ini bersejarah sekali sih. Lengkap semua. Kudu dipigurain dah potonya.
Pulang kampung kali ini pun kami semua sempat ke makam Kakek dan Kakek Buyut sembari diceritain Kuncen tentang sejarah perjuangan Kakek di zaman Belanda. Sayang, usianya tidak cukup panjang untuk saya kenal, bahkan untuk dikenal si Kumendan. There is goodness in passing down family history, even the sad ones.
Selama ini saya selalu kagok setiap diberi pertanyaan favorit orang Indonesia, “orang mana?”
Dengan campuran darah saya yang hanya setengah ini setengah itu seperempat ini seperempat itu, saya merasa tidak berhak mengklaim satu suku saja sebagai identitas diri saya. Saya malah merasa lebih sreg menjawab saya orang Jakarta karena saya lahir besar sedih bahagia di tanah ini. Tapi saya bukan suku Betawi jadi saya juga tidak bisa klaim Jakarta. Kadang sih saya iyain aja kalau ada yang tanya apa saya ini orang Rusia….. ¯\_(‘-‘)_/
Kata teman saya, saya ini gegar identitas; ke sana enggak ke sini enggak ke sana iya ke situ iya. Kata teman yang lain, saya ini Sunda palsu, Jawa palsu, Rusia palsu, Jepang palsu, Jakarta pun palsu. Kata seorang profesor dari Oz, saya ini global citizen yang tidak bisa ditancapkan di satu daerah tertentu. Kalau kata saya sih ada enaknya juga tidak merasa terikat dengan satu suku tertentu. Kenapa? Karena saking bingungnya orang lain dengan campuran suku saya, mereka sampai tidak bisa menempelkan stereotype pada kelakuan saya. I earn my own sins to myself, not to my inheritance. Ketidakterikatan saya pada ritual mudik juga membuat identitas pribadi saya makin menjadi melebihi identitas kesukuan saya.
